Like a painted tapestry my intention behind these painting is to weave small stories as part of a larger image.
This time, between others I got inspired by a welsh tale ...🦉🐚
Blodeuwedd is married to Lleu Llaw Gyffes in Welsh mythology. She was made from the flowers of broom, meadowsweet and oak by the magicians Math and Gwydion and she messed a little bit around until she got herself transformed in an owl. It's a dark story about treason and murder but also talks about rebirth, birds and flowers.
